Clinical Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a state where the body is in deep relaxation and the mind is clear and focussed. It often occurs naturally when day-dreaming or immediately before or after sleep. Hypnosis is mildly beneficial in itself, but its main therapeutic quality is that it makes subconscious thoughts and memories more accessible than normal and it is then possible to locate and correct negative thoughts and feelings.

We may have suffered unpleasant experiences that we have been unable to cope with or resolve. Even though we may have forgotten about them, these experiences can cause us physical and emotional damage. There is also evidence to suggest that the shock of a trauma may cause a whole host of hard to cure health problems. The good news is that these problems can often be helped with hypnotherapy.

During hypnotherapy you are fully aware of what is going on and totally in control and you cannot do anything against your will.
